Fair comment. Frankly, I think that Buster Keeton and Charlie Chaplin represented a higher form of humor (pathos is hard to pull off.) The Stooges were mainly low-brow slapstick. The "Jack Ass" movies are about as low-brow as it gets. |

I remember watching some episodes in a film class. You're right, there is something captivating about them - maybe their newness at the time? Maybe because they were the predesessor to"Jack Ass" movies? |

No one ever said we had to "get" everything. Tastes and mindsets vary. However, I received a DVD full of the Stooges at Christmas. Some of it is pretty funny. It doesn't represent my tastes in general, though. |
