~She looked up a bit dazed~ Hmm?? Oh sorry. I drifted off somewhere else there for a moment. An appetite curb sounds good right now. ~She turned to dravick and smiled gently.~ I am Gen. It is the only name I have to give. ~She stood up and held her balance against the wall before moving to Devin's side and taking a seat.~ I feel a bit light headed. She eyed the box curiously and ran a fingertip over the cover. I have never really fed from ... something that was not a form of animated and alive.

~She looked up at Devin and pondered the events that caused this evenings path to go so far from its intended direction. She avoided looking into anyones eyes for very long as it edged on her comfort levels. ~

"well lets see whats in the box then," dravick wavered from the subsiding pain in his leg, "I don't like suprises." The box tugged at his curiousity like a pup that has seen a bug. he diverted his attention to devin and gen, "I still don't understand why the two of you helped me. I mean I am your immortal enemy, so why would either of you want to help me?" There helping him was even more strange than the box.

~* Devin smiled a devilish grin as he gently tilts open the lid on the box. It was a rather tidy little box uniquely carved from rose wood with lovely gilding to embellish it's corners. Inside it housed a rather odd looking pair shaped crystalline stone. The crystalline stone was as pale and as clear as the ambient light of a moon beam. It's lower half blushed a deep dark crimson. It bore a sent of sweet honey and blood.*~

" This my friends is my prized possesion. There are only twelve of it's kind in the whole world. It was passed on to me by my sire. I pressent to you a 'Blood Stone'. Go on take a taste it's like nothing your had before, I assure you."

~* He softly pushes the box towards Tal smiling.*~

"As for you my boy it's like I told you. My lady friend here never met a stray puppy she didn't like. And I'm a sucker for a pretty face." he winks at Gen.

~She looked at the stone and laughed some. She quietly picked it up and looked it over in her hands. It was admittedly beautiful. ~
How did such a thing come to be? ... um how do I take a taste?
~She nodded in agreement with Devin that she they basically helped him because he needed it.~ It isn't as if either of us are saints or innocent of selfish acts or harming others. We just didn't walk that path tonight.

"That doesn't bother me," he smiled, "I've never really had a problem with you vampires, I wonder who the hell started this whole war anyways." He eyed the orb, then he looked at Gen. She was very pretty, and he didn't much notice until now. He looked back at the cube, there was no time for that kind of thing.

"Where the hell did you find it?" he asked abruptly.

"Well my friend it's like I said before it was passed down to me by my sire." He then looks to Gen with a coy smile. "You simply put it to your lips like a bottle and drink. Now I must warn you be careful it's very potent stuff."

~*Devin arches an eye brow as he looks back and forth between the two. The phone rings in the other room.*~
"I'll be right back." he says as he steps out of the room for a moment.
~* In a short while he returns with the phone still in hand. He looks at his unexpected guest and ponders.*~
" Well my dear boy it turns out that Gen and I have have other dinner plans. That I'm certain that you wouldn't be up for. It so happens that our dinner hosts are waiting for us." He looks to Gen. "And I believe they are growing impatient. " As for you my boy you may stay here for as long as you wish to lick your wounds, we should be back quite a bit later." With that Devin turns to hang up the phone in the other room. He returns shortly putting on his coat and lending Gen his hand. "Shall we go my dear?"

~She looked at the stone and paused as the phone rang. He excused himself and she offered the stone to Dravick with a chuckle.~ I don’t know about you but I prefer .. Something alive … or at least of the appearance of a human … A rock though?
She looked to Devin as he returned and announced their dinner plans. She quirked a brow and looked to Dravick apologetically. She took Devin’s hand and got up. She smiled at Devin as he looked to her.~

Yeah I’m ready I guess. ~She ran a hand through her multi colored hair and looked at him.~ Do I look okay?

"Yeah," dravick mumbles under his breath.
He put the stone back in the box, stretching. It felt good to stretch, it loosened his muscles. He got comfortable, expecting to be here for awhile. He sighed. He wasn't angry at either of them-they were nice enough to let him stay here-but he was angry that he was immobilized. He looked at his leg...what a poor creature he was, having to rely on these fellows.
"enjoy yourselves," he said, trying to sound as enthusiastic for them as possible.

~* Devin smiled as he escorted Gen out the door.*~
" After you my dear."
~*Once they were out of ear shot and well on their way down the elevator Devin quipped.*~
"Well has been an interesting evening so far don't you think? What say we head on to the club? That is if your still hungry?"

~* The pulse of the club could still be felt under foot. The throbbing sound of the music can barely be ignored at this point.*~

"If we hurry we should be just in time for the floor show. Or would you rather I take you back home?"

Interesting evening to say the least.

~She looked at him pondering a few dismal concepts to herself. His motives for instance. Was he just interested and what was that scent on him. It felt familiar in a way but she couldn't place it. She guessed if he had a sire with a stone like that maybe his sire was so old he left a strange scent. She shrugged it off and smiled at him. She felt bad about leaving poor dravick up there to amuse himself while they went out. It wasn't as if they could bring him she told herslef. I mean if he was attacked and isn't sure why then why bring him in the company of so many that would likely no welcome him either. She chewed at her lip and wondered about where they were going.~
"If we hurry we should be just in time for the floor show. Or would you rather I take you back home?"

I'd feel bad leaving you now. Maybe I'll come along for just a bit and grab a taxi to go home.
~She smiled and smoothed her unruly tendrils. ~

~* He jokingly offered her his arm with smile and escorted her across the moist wet city street. Up ahead the throbbing pulse of music can be felt. Faint voices can be heard ever so softly seeping through the walls of the build up ahead. Peering down the dimly lit alley way one could barely make out the rusty old sign hanging over the black metal door. Under the dull flickering florescent light the barely legable sun faded grey sign reading 'Club Mirth' can be seen. He leans against the door and knocks softly. He whispers a few barely audible words that would fall deaf on human ears, "Eat drink and be merry." The black metal door is opened and the earlier almost muted sounds poor out into the quiet city streets. A number of voices can be heard mixed and mingled among the throbbing pulsating sounds of new aged techno goth music. The two are greeted by a pair of lovely ivory skinned beauties. "We been waiting for you." they say in unison.

~She smiled at him as they walked. She felt on edge for whatever reason even though she had figured that by this point if he had intentions she would have glimpsed some sign of them. He had been nothing but polite. Was that a sign in itself? Too kind perhaps? Now she was being paranoid. She walked in with him chuckling at the little code to enter. She looked around as the sounds alone encompassed her senses. The smells were overwhelming as was the visual effect. She looked at him for reassurance as the girls made a particularly odd greeting. She searched his face for that reassurance before looking to the door and then back to these nearly enchanting girls.

Two alabaster mortals with deceptively sweet smiles and wild green eyes. Their lips were full and pinked with the kiss of warmth as was the coloring in their cheeks. She felt oddly drawn to them. They had red smooth waves for hair and wore simple black slip dresses. They were not to be overdone. So much more appetizing this way which for a moment made her understand why she hid her own appearance and perhaps why her sire chose her in the first place ... Innocence was powerful and intoxicating to vampires. The demon aching inside to tear it apart. She turned to the door and shook her head.~

I should go ...

Devin spoke softly just so she could hear him. "It would be a shame to have come all this way to simply turn back now. Not to mention rude to our dinner host. You have nothing to worry about your are amoung friends. At least stay long enough for me to introduce you. Besides you owe me one after the puppy thing a minute ago." he chuckled. Devin gently tugged on Gen's hand and bashfully batted his emerald green eyes at her with simple child like innocence and a coy smile. "Besides you'll make the girls pout."

Dravick looked at the door. If only he could walk. Damn it. "Damn it!" he screamed, his voice going unheard. He shouldn't be here in the first place. He should have been able to protect himself. His anger flamed like a forest fire. He grabbed the remote nearly crushing it in his anger. He turned the tv on, turning it to the history channel. He loved history, knowing the past made the future easier.
He tried to push the anger away, listening to the words on the tv. His anger did not leave, it swirled inside him. Gen and Devin go out to enjoy themselves while he stays in here. Its not there fault, its not like they can drag me everywhere. He was distraught with helplessness. Why was he so weak. He looked back at the door. If only there was a way to get out of here.
