Tonight I watched 28 weeks later... and I was disgusted!
Can someone explain to me why they need to produce this cookie cutter garbage, where you don't identify with the characters and are actually sad then they die... where they have to make ridiculous plot twists to make it seem 'scary' (like the one infected guy keeps coming after them)... and they decide to put military presence in the movie, but then negate everything by one (actually a few) monumentally stupid act.
I was actually pissed right the frig off at this movie.
The first one I actually enjoyed! It was a new twist on the old zombie movies and it gave a nice twist and commentary to raw presence... rage.
But this one just left me with a bitter taste and wishing I could have my hour and some odd mins back!
I could have written a better story then that! Fuck I had a dream that was a better story then that... and it WAS about zombies! And there were intelligent underlying tones as well.
Yeah this one gets stamped "Room full of monkey's with typewriter's could have pulled it off"... and thanks for the incredible waste of Hollywood's money while you were at it!
*sticks two fingers in the air for emphasis*
And BTW "Land of the Dead" belongs in the same class as this movie. It also had promise... a sequel to Dawn of the Dead... FAIL!!!
Both movies tried to do something and use a formula to get there. But that is all they had. Both movies had a good theory set up before the script was even written after the previous movie... but FAIL!!! No they decided to 'think' about it too much... and I'm sure idea flinging was involved in a room full of suits 'Yeah and then they could do that"..."Oh but this is a good idea"...
Segue people? Transition people? STORY People???
WTF!
