They reached the first streatch of their journy, an empty waste land. It seemed to be void of everything except dead and dying plant life. Animal bones were scattered around. Isador never truely understood the meaning of this place. ut there was a small entrence to a cave in the distance, and that was the second place they needed to enter.
Isadora walked quickly, slightly afraid of the place they were in now. Even she feared the unknown. As Isadora walked, the girl that she was traveling with seemed to be following her as if she was bound by and invisible leash. And she sort of was. They reached the entrence of the cave and Isadora slightly shuddered. This was the last place they would enter. They would cross the river here and meet the Reaper in the other side.
As they walked further into the cave, the screams and pain of the people that were trapped in between, a limbo of sorts, could be heard. They seemed to echo throughout the walls and seemed to haunt the place. The cries of small childeren were the most painful ones to hear. There was a small boat on the side of the river.
"Let's make this quick." she said to the girl.
They entered the boat and started to make their way across the river. And almost immediatly ghostly hands started to reach out froom the water. They couldn't touch Isadora, but she knew that they could drag the girl down with them. The other Collector was the one that let the souls drown there. But Isadora had never lost a soul to the ones in the water.
"Keep your hands in the boat, and whatever you do, don't reach out to them." she warned.
They were almost to the end of the river, the Reaper's figure could be seen standing there. She shuddered at the mere shadow of him. He wasn't all bone and scyth like the common conception most people had. He was, in fact, just a black cloaked being. Only his mouth and chin were visable. She had seen his face only once, and she never wanted to see it again. His eyes were just empty sockets that seemed to scream with pain and sadness. He was bald, but he had rooted flesh in patches on his head. Some of his skin was missing there as well, exposing blood stained bone. They reached the end and the Reaper held out his hand, which looked like a normal human hand. With long, gnarled black finger nails. she turned to the girl.
"The Reaper will take you the rest of the way."
The girl took the Reaper's hand and was taken from the boat. He nodded at her, a thanks, and she nodded back. the Reaper and the girl than proceeded to the Judgment place. And Isadora waas left to make the trip back to Earth, alone.
Isadora followed the same, well-worn path that her and all of the Collectors before her had. She stood in the starting spot, the only spot that Collectors ever had started at. The only time that they weren't restricted to one spot was when they were on earth to brong a sould down, and when they were going back to Earth. But those were the only exceptions.
But instead of having herself return to where she had left the Fallen at, she willed herself to go to an alley, not far from the Fallen. She returned to Earth in the same shadow like colum that she had disappeared in.
She pressed her back and wings against the wall tightly. The moonlight created a purple shine on the outer edges, almost like a purple lining. Very unusual compared to the solid black that most demons had. She dug her fingernails into the wall and shut her eyes tightly. The screams of the dead still echoed in her mind. She whimpered and kneeled down on the ground. She wasn't cut out for this. But she was bound to not only the Reaper, but the devil as well. Even if she did run, they would hunt her down.

{Mind if I play, miss?}
Jeremiah had no idea what compelled him to be lurking around allies, but that's where he ended up. He had been walking, thinking of all the things he had lost and all the things he would lose. Pyro, gone. Phedre, gone. His once beloved Ember, gone. Well, he had himself and that's better than nothing, right? He didn't know, anymore. He was an empty shell of his former self. Which his former self wasn't all that great, being a slave, but at least he had a place to stay and knew his place.
Now, he had no clue as to what to do with himself. Jeremiah was still wallowing in his own misfortune when a purple haze caught his eye. It had been a long time since anything had caught his attention, so he couldn't help but walk over and investigate. At first, he didn't believe his own eyes, for surely they were lying to him. He had seen beautiful demons, vampires and were-creatures... But nothing with purple tinted wings. He stayed a few feet away, not wanting to startle her. She seemed distraught enough, anyway, whimpering and breathing hard, her eyes squeezed shut.
Kneeling down where he was, he looked at her with concerned green eyes. “Miss? Miss are you alright?” He asked, his voice soft, but somehow firm. His voice was heavily accented, he hoped she understood him, being Cajun had its down falls. Jeremiah shoved a hand through his nasty blonde hair and sighed. He was all of a sudden dreading her reaction to him. He was filthy, severely under fed and rather sickly looking.
He swallowed his mouth suddenly drier than usual. He wanted to help her, but how, when he couldn’t even help himself? He shoved that sad thought a side not wanting to think of how he lost Pyro and the others. Too sad, too bad, never glad. But enough of the sadness, he was here to help, maybe once again be at someone’s service.
“Miss, I want to help you. My name is Jeremiah,” he said and blushed faintly. Please, let her not turn me away, for I shall surely die... He thought miserably.
