Phedre watched as he grabbed the human male from the path.
'This ought to be interesting.' She had thought to herself.
The female seemed so frightened by herself hearing noises next to the path. She walked up to her, she was a lovely human that much should be said. Her eyes were nice and big a lovely shade of brown rimmed in kohl lashes. her nose was straight and smallish her lips were of the average size and seemed to be getting darker for her face was starting to pale.
"Oh dear dear child..." Phedre said from behind her startling a scream out of her. "You must feel so lost and alone right now... Here come with me..." Phedre grabbed her by the upper right arm and almost pulled her behind her with a bruising grip. She brought her to a tree not too far from where Ember was playing with his food.
"Is that your friend there? Look at how lovely his blood sprays on this night." The female started to struggle against Phedre's hold begging, pleading for her to be let go, to not hurt her. Phedre brought her in front of herself and turned her so she was facing the show Ember was unknowingly putting on.
"You want me to let you go but how am i to do that when you are watching this? How am i to let you go thinking you will never speak of this to anybody?" She had her right arm wrapped about her body chrushing her to herself, and her left hand played in her hair all the while whispering in her right ear.
"Why would i want to let you go anyway? You smell so nice... the blood running through your veins is so warm." Phedre purred and licked the shell of her ear. Phedre took one of her nails and slowly cut down the right side of her neck and had the female watch her male be torn to shreds as Phedre fed from her neck.
Phedre took pride in the emotional turmoil that she caused the female before she passed out from the blood loss. She dropped the woman after she passed out and watched as Ember finished with his meal.
"You should spend more time in this form and then you will learn to control yourself. How do you expect to be able to do it if you are never in it?" She laughed a little at herself, and walked up to Ember. "You believe it or not are a pretty good person that just has a problem with handling really tough shit that flops down in front of you unexpectedly."
She smiled at him and took his almost too big hand in hers. and laid her head on his arm. "I think that perhaps we should spend so time playing with this form every week. that way you will be comfy in it and not feel so awkward yes?" She looked up at his face learning this other half of him, this darker side of him. Phedre smiled and cupped the left side of his face wondering what he felt and what he thought.

Ember felt the confusion, pain and fear rising in the woman Phedre had lead away. He turned over his shoulder, the feeling was so strong within her. Like a vortex, or tidal wave, of said emotions. He tilted his head curiously, watching as also like that wave, the feelings began to dampen and recede as the human closed her eyes for the few final times. His gaze drifted to his very hungry Phedre. He watched how her eyes shifted their colours and she livened up once more. How deceivingly kind she had seemed at first, her clever emotional games.
His grin spiked widely, but he remained where he was. He had no idea he'd been putting on a show per se, he was just doing as he would've done anyway.
He smirked a little at her words, of telling him he was a good person. His eyes creased, showing two small crow's feet on either side.
Yeah? You think so? I've heard it before, I think you're crazy. To be a murderer and demon yet still to be good? Whoever heard of such ..
He arched his eyebrows, omitting the profanities. But he knew it was true. He looked at her resting against him and smiled, and he moved his other arm around her and held her vampiric body to his demonic one.
I was comfortable showing you for some reason ....
He said, agreeing with her idea of them to escape this way every so often. All his teeth were jagged and sharp, every tooth shaped like a canine all around his mouth. His eyes were large, pupils elongated diamond shaped slits.
It was a lie when Bridget showed in your home -- Although maybe she did sense what I felt for you .... It was too soon to tell. I have grown to be pretty careful..
He admitted. His hand holding hers tensed and held tighter, tips of his talons penetrating her skin.
But yes, the handling of the unexpected bullshit gets me at times.
He laughed thinking on it, his voice playfully cocky, his eyes shutting to almost slits. It was impossible for him not to be coy.
Her soft hand slid across his face. It caught him off guard, and his eyes closed softly, a sigh leaving his mouth that was humorously very soft. He was told the strangest things, but he found it funny.
I've been a killer ever since I was a boy ..
He had thought of trying to tell her what he thought of her but she would see it on her own, or maybe she just wouldn't. He liked her way of seeing everything as some sort of game. It was terribly cute. He lifted her up into his arms. He seemed suddenly very content, a sly smile on his face because ... Ember loved someone. Still he felt a bit tongue-tied and not quite sure what to say to her. Maybe it was the way his physical form was currently being presented. Not many would find him particularly handsome this way but she seemed to. He held her securely in his arms, moonlight illuminating one half of his face and part of her body in his arms. He hoped that she wouldn't someday vanish, or be killed or taken away. If she ended their friendship of her own accord that was just fine. He could handle that. His tail lashed the ground a little. Apparently he'd just wanted to hold her.
Should we head back now ? ......
He asked with a smile and the question hanging because he was having fun, like he used to do, playing with her. He stretched his wings after a few moments of holding her, he set her feet gently back to the ground. Strange it was that such an attractive one could feel so lonely inside. His sounded mischievous, like he didn't quite want to just yet, a crooked dark yet childish grin on his face. He even stood lightly, as though he could spring back into their playing if her body seemed to even suggest it. His eyes were bright and playful. No this couldn't be the shell of the man she had first met ..... His fingers crept through her long locks and he nibbled her ear gently, a strange transformation taking place as he shifted back. Too strong, and confusing, felt so ancient ..... He swept his hair up in his hands and settled into the leaves, his hands under his jaw as he looked at her, trying not to think too much. He had no idea how much time had passed but it felt like a lot -- usually he was good with it but with what he had just done, not so much.
Phedre, was something going on when I arrived ... ?
His voice came out very polite, and curious. He knew she was insane. So was he, and it was alright.
Anything more with your coven?
He asked, staring into her eyes ... perhaps shattering their play but he hadn't liked the mystery shrouding her involvement with the ... well, he didn't even know. Who? .. What is such a big deal and ...something has changed?

Phedre's smile turned strained at the mention of her coven. 'How easily i forget of such things when I'm near him...' She had thought.
"M-my coven?" Phedre tried to hide her stammer. Her eyes fell to the ground and she turned away from him sad and trying hard to figure out if she should tell him anything. The vampire started to slowly walk away, and sighed heavily. "OK. You remember when it was attacked way back when? Plenty of the other member were out and about when the attack happened so they stayed away for awhile. when it was all said and done, the other members went back and revived the coven from the ashes so to speak."
She slowed way down and looked out into the trees, eyes unfocused, mind in a different time. She was back at the coven when she was first made. The embarrassment, the cruelty of the others, the endless days and nights of being used, the sadness that always accompanied those memories.
"Well... It turns out that they have gotten the second to take over and he was just as cruel if not crueler than my maker. The former leader." Phedre started to wring her hands together in front of her. "And i have found out that he has started looking for me... again. He seems to be closer than last time in being able to find me so now i think i may have to leave. I think someone is telling him where i am. It seems he has been building up the coven again and looking for more of 'The ones that escaped'. To show them the error of their ways."
Phedre turned back to Ember but couldn't look him in the eyes for fear she would see the disgust she had for that part of her. The weakness she had and felt consume her during that time in her life. "But he has had a hard on for me for some time. As i happen to be... well i guess you would call it special. My curse seems to bring endless amusement to them. So he has been trying to find me to turn me into his sort of twisted pet is what i am thinking. and i don't wish to go back there at all and live with that coven."
"But last week he suddenly stopped. I figured he thought i had left the area. But it turns out that he has found another with special abilities. i could be wrong but from what i heard she may need to be let free... I know what its like to be in that place and left to there attentions... She will want help." She turned and looked at his so green eyes.
Her eyes showing her shame. The result of being a victim and sad that she was too weak to break the cycle. Ashamed mostly. Shame... What a humbling emotion...

Ember watched her move away, curling up small and tight on the ground between a rock and tree. Leaves still strung onto limbs brushed against his hair and his flesh and snagged gently, playfully on his clothes. He turned his eyes to her. She was a few paces farther, her mind traveling through her memories he supposed.
They left? I couldn't imagine just leaving...my... family... and not helping,
He said, almost strangely, as if he had no idea what it really meant to have a strong coven. He had had no real earthly family nor anything beyond that into the eldritch. Trying to imagine what it was like, he listened to her, though she hadn't yet spoken. She was slowly walking, and her green eyes were looking into the forest. The strewn internal organs of their victims forgotten, a moment of stillness wrapped them. He pondered on the loyalty of her group. He wouldn't have done that, to have tried to leave in a time of trouble? No. Not him.
At least they went back to help.
He said, having to give them that. He arched his brows at the information she had just given him. Her pale white wrists, they spun in circles around each other, and her nerves sent ripples into the air. He crawled to his feet, wanting to comfort her.
Looking for you.... Who would betray you?
The thickness in his voice, it was more than what it seemed. He wondered who else spent time with Phedre that wasn't him.
Why didn't you tell me sooner?..Something could've happened and you wouldn't have told me.
He said, the hurt in his tone as he withdrew, but his hands were on her arms, going to her wringing fingers. He tilted his head and looked into her face, pushing back a lock of hair as she spoke of rescuing another woman. He drew her close to him and kissed her ---- though as he moved away his jaw tightened. He wondered why she hadn't said anything. Did she think he wouldn't have cared? Was he just being dramatic? If he had a heart, it'd be pounding. Maybe he was overreacting, but he wondered if he cared much more than she did. By this time, it could be say he was programmed to act this way. He had lost lovers that way. It was as though get near him and die. Not for Phedre, he hoped. He took a moment to try to regain his composure. He had seemed pretty disturbed. Thinking back to a solution, the sinister thoughts crept back into his mind.
Who do you think was leading him to you?
He grinned deviantly...conflicting strongly with the humbled look of shame on her face. His heart swelled. He looked at her for a few moments, the way she looked was just perfect, a few perfect seconds of wonderful lighting on a beautiful woman. But he knew the way she felt, and it wasn't anything like what he was seeing. She had broken the cycle. Maybe she just had to realize it. But telling him this this night, and reveiling the new ways that she felt. Ember felt that her then and her now were totally different and he didn't see her as any less. She was meant for better things, than being some twisted sex slave. It burned him up. What nerve did he have, though? Hadn't he done the same? Conflictions seemed to unbind him, however.
And if you leave ... what am I supposed to do?
He gasped softly, as if he'd been trying to lie to himself that she hadn't just said that. He squinted his eyes, looking at her with adoration. He took her hand and held it closely with his, lifting it to his lips for a kiss first placed on the back of her hand then her fingers. No doubt, without her it would feel colder. He held her hand more tightly, then let go. It was her decision to make. He wouldn't be a thorn in her side. She deserved to live her life by her own free will, as any woman and any person did. She wouldn't have to worry about the crazed coven leader. Hopefully sooner than later.
