Vampires Lycanthropes Sex Oh, My!There comes a time in every year when we, the administrators, need to remind players of what is acceptable regarding sexuality in Role Play. At least here in Andromorphia.
The following is offered in good humor, yet the message is important. In the past, we have had trouble (and when I say 'trouble' I mean with a capital 'T') with players who felt the need to move their characters as quickly as possible into erotic scenes. Some have gone so far as to graphically describe their scenes leaving nothing to the imagination. Need I remind you that this site has 15 year old people registered? Yes, it's true.
I become especially suspicious when a role play devolves into sex within only a few posts. What ever happened to romance? Or how about actual drama, fantasy and storytelling? The point of this site is to provide a venue for
writing fantasy, horror and dark worlds. Romance is a part of all that. I have no problem with it. Erotica I have a problem with. That is, I have a problem with it
here, in Andromorphia. There are wonderful sites elsewhere on the internet that cater to Erotica. That's why they are there. We, on the other hand, are a fantasy, horror and dark worlds writing site.
Bad LibidoHere is a representative list of what is
not acceptable on Andromorphia. Believe me, we've seen many examples of the following over the years.
- Starting a roleplay story with the intent of exploring sexual fantasies.
- Two people meet, flex their muscles and fight, then off go their clothes!
- Gratuitous descriptions of body parts. I think we all know what they look like.
- Using Andromorphia as your own, personal, Cybersex Dating Service.
- Rated-R for Raunchy. Rated-X for Extreme.
- Using fondled in the same sentence with body parts - with erotic meaning. (Well, you get my meaning. Also includes the application of dinner metaphors associated with body parts, etc.)
Good LibidoThis list should give you some idea of what we consider to be
acceptable sexuality in Andromorphia.
- Love happens in the course of events in a long-running roleplay.
- Fade to Black. That means: the scene ends before the fun begins.
- Expressions of desire and passion that carry romantic meaning without coming right on out and rubbing stuff.
- Two people or things meet, flex their muscles and fight, and then latter discover they are attracted to each other. Tricky dance of romance ensues. Things get killed and maimed, and all that, along the way.
- That oh-so-delicious sexual innuendo. It's fun and entertaining!
Now before you go off half-cocked, please consider what is being said. Romance and sexual situations are acceptable on Andromorphia. Gratuitous sex and promiscuity as character traits is not. Use it to spice up your stories, by all means. But don't turn our site into
Cybersex Central or
Anthropomorphic Erotica or
The Happy Bondage Hunting Grounds. Romance and sex are seasonings not the whole meal. They spice things up, make the story more real, and stir up yummy emotions. Keep it to a minimum and keep it clean (and remember: Fade to Black!). That's not a suggestion, by the way.
Thanks, and Happy Role Playing!
The Administrators.
P.S.: We take no pleasure in censoring anyone. We expect everyone to do that for themselves.
